Candice is a Director in the Commercial Practice Group at Phatshoane Henney Attorneys, focusing on providing corporate, commercial, business and tax related services to clients.
The saying ‘a commercial attorney is born and not bred’, rings true with Candice. At university she established herself academically and received numerous academic awards, excelling especially in the Mercantile related subjects.
Her natural inclination towards commercial law made it easy for her to be selected to serve articles in the Commercial Practice Group of Phatshoane Henney Attorneys and then be appointed as a commercial associate. Candice enjoys fostering her commercial expertise and has completed her LL.M and Higher Diploma in Taxation in furtherance of this quest. She is currently also enrolled for her LL.D in Mercantile Law at the University of the Free State.
Candice has a strong focus on corporate structuring, restructuring and taxation and also takes on commercial instructions for private and corporate clients. Using her acquired skills and a solution-driven mind set, Candice is determined to find commercially acceptable answers for her clients. She is passionate about the law and her service to clients and approaches each instruction, whether a simple commercial agreement or a complex transaction, with the same energy and enthusiasm.
An active sports enthusiast, Candice enjoys a competitive game of squash or road running to relax and re-energise, when not spending time with her family and friends.
