Jonathan is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group who specialises in the Supreme Court of Appeal, as well as Civil Litigation in the High Court and Magistrates' Court with specific focus on contractual disputes, evictions, motor vehicle collisions and general civil litigation.
Jonathan approached his career in law pragmatically and completed his B.Com (Law) in order to add a commercial perspective to his legal background before completed his LLB at the University of the Free State. This assists him greatly in his practice relating to commercial, insurance law and insolvency litigation.
Since 2018 Jonathan has run the Supreme Court of Appeal department. His motto when it comes to appeals is to always try be one step ahead and ensure that clients and correspondents matters are treated as priority from day one.
Jonathan’s natural leadership, already evident from his high school career, dictates his work ethic and strong approach towards litigation and his uncompromising stance on client service. Jonathan enjoys working hand-in-hand with colleagues from other departments as and when required by the nature of the matter at hand.
As a sporting enthusiast, Jonathan plays club rugby for a local club as well as participating in various of the firm’s sporting events. Jonathan also sings in a local male acapella group, “Take Note” which plans to take part in an international acappella competition as soon as Covid-19 allows.
