Tanya Strauss

Tanya is a Director of Tax & Accounting. She completed her B.Accounting degree at the University of Stellenbosch where after she went on to complete her B.Accounting (Hons) degree through UNISA, as well as serving her articles at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC), to become a chartered accountant in 2004.

In her position as a senior associate assistant manager she was seconded to PWC Dallas, Texas, in the United States of America (USA) where she specialised in rendering services in the upstream oil industry. On her return to South Africa, she was appointed in the Business planning & Corporate management reporting department of Chevron SA (Pty) Ltd, followed by Regional optimization specialist at Chevron Africa Pakistan (Pty) Ltd and later became a Senior Business Support Specialist. Tanya also represented Chevron in various projects launched by the Department of Minerals & Energy (DME) and the National Energy Regulator of SA (NERSA) via her participation in various cross-industry project teams.

Specific achievements in these roles were the nomination for, and attendance of Chevron Future Leaders Forum (a global program designed to identify and train potential leaders). She also represented Chevron SA on a global pricing project launched in San Ramon, California, USA to successfully deploy a new global software tool. She received two awards from the president of Chevron Lubricants for her planning & execution role in this project. 

In 2015, Tanya joined PH Tax & Accounting as a Director where she focuses on various services for trust and other investment holding entities. PH Tax & Accounting partners with private wealth management companies as well as PH Attorneys to service high net worth trust customers, providing tailor-made accounting and fiduciary services and tax efficient solutions for all their domestic and offshore investment entities. These services include financial statement compilations and independent reviews, effective tax structuring, tax calculations and submissions, estate planning as well as independent trusteeships of investment entities.
