Japie Kruger

Japie is a Director in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group, servicing a wide range of clients across various industries. He specialises in commercial disputes, medical negligence claims, insurance law, and debt collection, and has also gained extensive experience in business rescue and shareholder disputes. Japie approaches the practice of law with energy and determination, bringing a tenacious, can-do mindset to every matter he handles.

Japie completed his B.Com (Law) and LL.B degrees at the University of the Free State, where he achieved excellent academic results. During his articles of clerkship, he distinguished himself as a skilled litigator, finishing second overall in the national litigation competition of the Law Society of South Africa’s LEAD Law School programme.

With more than five years’ post-admission experience, Japie has refined his litigation skills through the management of complex disputes in high-pressure environments, always with a strong focus on meeting his clients’ objectives. Known for his positive attitude and tailored approach, he sets himself apart by adapting legal strategies to suit each client’s specific needs.
