Chang-Lin Dirks is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group at PH Attorneys. 

She completed her LL.B at the University of the Free State upon being awarded the rector’s bursary for top academic achievement and student involvement at the Cape Academy of Maths, Science and Technology in Cape Town. She is goal-orientated and ambitious and has aimed to ensure that she achieved academically as well as develop all the relevant skills to best fit her client’s needs. 

Chang-Lin was awarded a position on the Dean’s Merit list of the Law faculty for the years 2016 and 2017 and was invited to the top achievers breakfast by the Dean in her final year. She has held various leadership positions such as being on the residence leadership, disciplinary committee and a Labour Law tutor in the Law faculty. 

Chang-Lin has during her articles worked in both the commercial and litigation practice groups of the firm and is therefore able to provide her clients with advises encapsulating her background and exposure to various areas in practice. 

Chang-Lin is also an admitted notary public of the High Court of South Africa which adds further value to her insights into advises involving general matrimonial property law matters. She aims to advise clients on matrimonial law as a tool in estate planning and restructuring pre- and post-divorce proceedings.  
Chang-Lin aims to approach her clients compassionately and to fight on their behalf during sensitive personal disputes involving children, maintenance or familial relations. 

Outside of work Chang-Lin enjoys coffee dates over good laughs and conversation. She has a soft spot for dogs and cats and hopes to one day assist as many as she can.
