John Mophethe

John is a Director of PH Attorneys, where he specialises in providing Black Economic Empowerment and employment equity solutions to a broad range of clients and heads up the BEE advisory services division.

John has more than 15 years’ experience in the profession and has served the firm in various positions since his days as a Candidate Attorney. He holds an LLB degree, a Master’s degree, Certificate in Business Rescue and an Advanced Certificate in Labour Law in addition to having completed an assessor course accredited by ETDP-SETA. John is also a qualified divorce mediator and a commercial mediator.

John has specialised in a broad range of disciplines including property, mediation, insolvency and business rescue and labour, and currently specialises in black economic empowerment law; working extensively with clients in the private and parastatal sectors.

John is a former LEAD instructor at the Free State School of Law and is listed on the panel of liquidators at a number of Master‘s offices across the country.

John is currently also working towards a qualification in Black Economic Empowerment law. He is passionate about children and human rights and is involved with various non-profit organisations, particularly those that provide for disadvantaged children.
