The four winning artists from last year's Phatshoane Henney New Breed Art Competition, recently met with well-known artist, Pauline Gutter, and Karen Brusch from the Free State Art Collective, who are mentoring them in the build-up to this year's Winners Group Exhibition.
Nkululeko Nkebe, overall winner, Katlego Mogoera, runner-up as well as the Public Choice Award winner, together with the two Merit Award winners, Petra Schutte and Xola Sello, spent a fruitful session with Gutter and Brusch early in February, brainstorming ideas for the group exhibiton to be held later this year.
They are to meet again several times ater this year, receiving valuable mentorship from Gutter and Brusch throughout the process - which is sure to contribute to their development as artists.
