Can my employee refuse to come to work because of Covid-19?

Although we are nearing the tail-end of the Covid-pandemic, I still have a number of my employees that are refusing... to come to work because of Covid-19. I’ve tolerated them being at home, but my problem is that there is very little work they can do from home, yet I have to pay them. Can I force them to come back?

Die nuwe Maatskappywet (die “Wet”), het in werking getree op 1 Mei 2011 en bevat ‘n wye verskeidenheid wysigings tot... die vorige Suid-Afrikaanse maatskappyreg dispensasie. Een van die belangrikste wysigings is die bekendstelling van die Akte van Oprigting of sogenaamde Memorandum of Incorporation (die “MOI”) wat die statute en akte van oprigting onder die vorige wet, vervang. Die MOI is nou ‘n vereiste vir alle nuwe asook bestaande maatskappye. Bestaande maatskappye moet teen 30 April 2013 ‘n MOI implementeer, ter vervanging van hul vorige akte en statute.
