FC is a Director in the Commercial Practice Group at the Sandton branch, where he practises in the firm’s Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) consulting division. He provides a range of corporate and commercial services with specific focus on assisting private and institutional clients in the fields of BEE and related corporate and commercial restructuring.

A family heritage of entrepreneurship has inspired in him a keen interest in business from a young age. With this background, FC easily identifies with the typical business owner and approaches the law from the perspective of a business owner, bringing a strong practical sense to bear in addition to his commercial expertise to help find solutions for his clients.

FC has gained extensive experience and knowledge in the field of BEE by assisting corporate, private and institutional clients with general BEE advice, BEE verification assistance, BEE structuring and ownership solutions. He has also gained a significant understanding of public procurement and tendering regulations as well as complex BEE ownership structures, employee ownership schemes and private equity solutions, and is comfortable in assisting clients to effectively negotiate the complex environment of BEE.

Responsiveness, a strong work ethic and a reputation for understanding the business of his clients, is what matters most to FC.

In his spare time, FC enjoys following and researching the stock market and investment methodologies and has a keen interest in ornithology and sports.
