Veruska is a Candidate Attorney in the Commercial Practice Group of Phatshoane Henney Attorneys where she is involved with corporate and commercial services for private and institutional clients.
Veruska matriculated from the Cambridge British International Distance College (BIDC) and she also attended Eunice High School for Girls. At university level, Veruska excelled and obtained her B.Com (Law) degree cum laude and her LL.B degree summa cum laude. She secured her place on the Law Faculty’s top 10 Merits List, was awarded the Kovsie Alumni Trust Prize for second best undergraduate student in the Faculty of Economics and Management Science, and obtained the McIntyre and Van der Post award for the best Family Law student.
Veruska enjoys excelling in tennis, having been part of the university’s tennis team and winning a gold medal at the USSAS tennis tournament. In 2015, she was also awarded the prize for Kovsies women’s tennis sport star of the year and in 2013 she was chosen for the South African Universities Tennis Squad. Focusing now on developing her legal career, Veruska applies many of the skills learnt from the competitive sports to improve her law skills and workmanship in service of her clients and colleagues.
