Lesley is the Chief Executive Officer of PH Attorneys and a Director in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group, specialising in all aspects of individual and collective employment law. He further built a niche practice of servicing various institutions of Higher Learning in the Higher Education Sector. In addition to his practice Lesley is also the Head of Business Development focusing mainly on client relationship building and the development of existing and new practice areas.

Lesley has been with the firm for the past 18 years after being selected by the Integrated Bar Project managed by the Centre for Human Rights at the University of Pretoria and placed at PH Attorneys for a period of three weeks during his final year. He joined the firm as a Candidate Attorney and in the process armed himself with two Masters Degrees in law, one of which was obtained cum laude from the University of the Free State where he lectured on a part-time basis for a period of five years. Lesley currently serves as a Council Member on the Free State Provincial Legal Practice Council, Board Member of the University of the Free State Law Faculty Board of Control and a Board Member of the UFS Law Faculty Advisory Board. He previously served on the Legal Practitioners Fund Board of Control.

He has cemented his career as one of only a few lawyers to have represented and advised various universities (University of the Free State, University of Mpumalanga, University of Fort Hare, etc.) in all aspects of employment law. His standing in the legal profession has been enhanced by not only having taught law but by ensuring that he blends his practice with the substantive knowledge of the law he has gained. Some of the major cases that he was involved in commenced at the CCMA and eventually ended up in the Labour Appeal Court as well as the Constitutional Court.

Apart from his passion for employment law in the Higher Education Sector among others, he has provided specialised professional services to various local government Municipalities and entities which have also received attention on the employment sphere.

In addition to his practice in the Dispute Resolution Group, Lesley is also the head of the firm's Business Development Unit focusing on client relationship building and the development of new and existing practices to meet the demands of modern society. He places a high opprobrium on rendering highly specialised professional services to clients and proving solution driven expert advice. Client satisfaction remains a criterion that he advocates to all young professionals at the firm.

The personal and professional development of Candidate Attorneys and young professionals is a calling that Lesley has fully embraced and attended to at the firm for many years. Skills transfer remains an important tool meaningfully making a difference in the solutions that we provide to clients. Assisting young professionals to hone their professional skills and ultimately becoming known experts in their fields is a contribution that he believes will benefit and contribute to the transformation of the legal profession.
