Phatshoane Henney Attorneys recently donated 30 blankets to Bloemshelter in Bloemfontein to warm up the harsh winter months for those less fortunate.

Over R3000 was raised through a blanket drive run internally by the law firm’s associates, enabling the purchase of quality wool blankets that addresses a dire need for such at Bloemshelter.

Bloemshelter is a registered NPO that provides shelter for the homeless – be it the elderly, frail persons, men, women or children. The shelter is also actively involved in creating opportunities for vulnerable persons in our society to grow through education and other practical activities. The children attend playgroups and schools in the area, and are guided to further their qualifications after matric. Bloemshelter also offers older people the opportunity to finish their matric via the ABET system, while various other training programmes are available to aid personal growth and life skill development.
